LAY FLAT 02: META
I am very pleased to be included in the upcoming second issue of the photography publication Lay Flat. Contributors to this issue are thematically connected by ideas of the medium itself and I feel truly honored to have my work alongside the work of some of my favorite photographers. Details for the issue are as follows:
Edited by Shane Lavalette and Michael Bühler Rose, Lay Flat 02: Meta brings together the works of contemporary photographers whose images are conceptually engaged with the history, process and conventions of the medium itself.

Martin (Publisher/Editor, Aperture Foundation), Adam Bell (Co-editor, The Education of a Photographer) and artist Arthur Ou. More TBA!
The issue will be released this winter and comes out as a limited edition of 1,000. If you are interested in a copy I suggest you sign up for the mailing list on the Lay Flat website in order to be notified of the release. The first issue of Lay Flat sold out entirely and I suspect this one will too!
I would also like to urge anyone interested in photography that is able to donate to Lay Flat. They rely on the support of artist and enthusiasts to be able to cover the production and distribution costs of the publication at this time. It is my opinion that Lay Flat is one of the most exciting and intelligent new efforts in contemporary photography publication. They will also start to release artist books in summer 2010. So if you can, please show your financial support! As the editor Shane Lavalette says: there is no amount too big or too small. Anything is appreciated.
