@TWITTER U SUCK! PLEASE RT

Wednesday, July 29th, 2009

On Friday I logged into my twitter account and found it “suspended and currently being investigated for strange activity”. Hmmm okay. Though totally certain I have never done anything that would qualify as strange activity I read the terms of service in full and conclude that indeed I certainly haven’t done anything that should lead to account suspension. I mean really! I follow about 200 and have around the same followers, the odd friend but mostly art and photography related people and organizations. My account is under my own name with a link to this blog and a picture of myself. I put in a request that they had made a mistake. Since then my request has been moved to “solved” twice with still no explanation nor the return of my account. At the moment my most recent re-request is still being processed.

Now I am just mad. I had started to rely on twitter to some degree as a sort of RSS feed informer and reminder of things going on or worth checking out photography wise as well as for notice of upcoming opportunities and deadlines. It would take me all morning to locate the same information I get from a quick scan of my followed feed - some of that info I wouldn’t even find at all.

I guess this is a warning, it could happen to you!

@twitter give @jessicaeaton her feed back!

A nice, short write up about my exhibit Variables at the LES Gallery, Vancouver. HERE on theFuturists, which to the best of my knowledge is a pretty new Vancouver based lifestyle web log.

Thanks “Bernstein” !
