Last spring I took some portraits of Owen Pallett aka. Final Fantasy for Toronto Life magazine.

Until I finish dealing with the color shift issue, b+w it is.

The last post seems to have answered my questions. It is the jpg. I should have known that. The screen shot is a png and it is fine between the two browsers.

FIREFOX (L) SAFARI (R)
The colour and contrast differences between Safari and Firefox are driving me mad. Here is a screen shot. Both are “wrong”. Why? Why why. I can’t take it.
I wish I could just have everyone over to look at prints.

My grandmother threw most of her old negatives away. To me this is insane! I managed to salvage a shoebox full containing random sleeveless negatives in four formats dating from the 50s to the late 80s. This picture of my mother is one of a few that survived (with thanks to Photoshop for healing some serious scratching and horrid storage damage) the purge. Sigh.
If anyone has tips for scanning 110 film….
Q: How does this translate in 40 or 50 years when your grandchildren are left not with a shoebox but perhpas with a largely unedited iphoto library on a circa 2005 hard drive that uses USB 2.0? Even if the USB 2.0 weren’t an issue…. as if that thing is going to mount - not to forget the sheer amount of crap you shot because unlike film, digital is free! Double sigh.
